Imagine being viciously attacked by your co-worker and a supervisor for trying to do the right thing? When that happened to one local man, he contacted me. I filed suit against the owner of the restaurant, Florida Pop, LLC, claiming that management not only knew about the danger one of the attackers posed, but that its management team enabled the attack.
While the victim remains in pain, the owner continues to defend its inexcusable behavior. That's why it is absolutely critical to have an experienced, determined, and unafraid attorney like me on your side!
James J. Thorpe, Jr.
Jim is originally from Kansas City, and mostly grew up in Sarasota, Florida. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1997. During high school, he began honing his litigation skills while volunteering as a student attorney for the Sarasota County Teen Court program.
Jim attended the University of South Florida, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science in 2003. After completing his undergraduate studies, he pursued his dream of becoming an attorney and attended the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, ultimately achieving a Juris Doctorate in 2007.
After law school, he had the pleasure of working with a group of the most successful personal injury attorneys in north Florida at Fasig & Brooks, PLLC. While there, he immediately began working in litigation, prosecuting matters such as automobile accidents, slip and falls, and gross negligence involving catastrophic brain damages. Before leaving the firm, he successfully represented over 250 clients, recovering more than $3,150,000.00 on behalf of those wrongfully injured.
Since opening Jim Thorpe Law in 2011, he has represented over 50 clients, recovering $654,245.16 in total on their behalf as of February 2015. Some of the best qualities he brings to all his clients include excellent communication, personal service, and intense perseverance. He is a straightforward and uncompromising attorney who will assess and offer you a direct analysis of your legal issue. Now, as a partner at Thorpe & Thorpe, P.A., Jim invites you to call or visit his office and discuss your potential case.
